MCby Rachel Frye

In The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, the colonization of Mars in simular to the colonization of America in many ways. Every Martian seems to protect themselves and their families without thinking of anyone else. Also, there is a lot of fighting (or war) to get what they think is best for them. The Martians are almost compared to that of Native American Indians all throughout the novel. For example, the settlers going to Mars just claim it like it's theirs and the Martians don't find that acceptable just like the Americans interfering in the Indians' land. I also think that Bradbury used his novel as a way to teach frontier history.
