In the book The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury the colonization of the humans on mars is similar to the Europeans settling in the States. The Europeans took many different attempts to come to America and many died but once they got hear and started to settle down more and more people came across seas. The same was with the humans in The Martian Chronicles it took them four expeditions to successfully settle down on mars. When the humans got there some people didn't like the fact that they had to share land with the martians and killed them. Just like the martians were killed the Native Americans were killed for land and pushed west. Also in both cases different diseases that the martians and Native Americans weren't immune to were brought over. However there were some people who respected the martians and Native Americans. In the martians case Jeff Spender wanted to protect the martians remains and there civilization. Also eventually the Europeans and Native Americans came together on Thanksgiving and kinda became one. In both instances the natives were taken over and wiped out.
