In The Martian Chronicles written by Ray Bradbury the beginning starts off with the martians who live on Mars for millions of years. One day Mrs. K (Ylla) had a dream about a blue eyed black haired man in a rocket ship. Ylla kept having these very strange dreams and wasn't acting right. Finally the expeditions start with the Earth men coming to Mars. On the second expedition Captain Williams and two other men have made it to the planet Tyrr and found the home of Mr.and Mrs. Ttt. The men are trying to figure out what happened to the first men on the first expedition. The men were shot because the martians thought they were hallucinating. On the third expedition Captain John Black and his sixteen men go to Mars. They somehow start to see their family members that have been dead for years but they go with them anyways not questioning it. Turned out that all their family members were really martians and they killed the sixteen men and buried them. More Earth men start coming to Mars first they were lonely because they couldn't see Earth and felt it never existed. More and more people start coming to Mars to start living there. But they Earth people are foolish and don't understand the martians on Mars. Martians are still living on Mars but the Earth people think they do not exist anymore. The reason why the Earth people came to mars in the first place was to get away from the war but now Earth exploded and they are watching it on Mars and see a Morse code saying come home. All the luggage had been bought out to the Earth people to return and help with the war. Then after being away for many many years Captain Wilder comes back to Mars and finds Mr. Hathaway and his family. But Wilder finds out a secret that his family is not really his at all they are martians pretending to be his own. Mr. Hathaway died but the martians keep on staying together. Then finally the ending of The Martian Chronicles a family from Earth comes to Mars for their vacation. The dad blows up their own rocket so they can not return to Earth. There will be more families coming to Mars with them in the following days and they will also blow up their own rocket. They want to start all over again and start a new population. The children of the family want to see martians so the dad takes the family to a little water canal and they see themselves. For the presentation of plot I think the writer changed it too many times and it was difficult to keep up and understand. I think the argument for this book was should humans go to Mars? Should we go out and see what is out there and explore that? I think it was a very difficult argument because you will always have people saying that yes they do believe in other life form out there. Then there are people out there who do not believe in other life form other than ourselves as humans. The creative writing formats would have to be the way the author Ray Bradbury explained things on Mars and how the martians looked. I feel the reader could get a picture int there heads with this. The beauty of the language would have to be the way the author used detail.
