The Martian Chronicles

The colonization of Mars is similair to the colonizatin of America in Bradbury's novel, The Martian Chronicles. When countries were colonizing America, they first started out by sending expeditions to see if the land had anything to offer and if it was livable. The same happened to Mars when America sent expeditions there to see if there was anything there for them. In both cases, once the land was deemed livable people starting picking up their lives to move to these new lands. While colonizing America the natives were usually secluded or died off. The same happened to the martians on Mars; they died off because of being exposed to the chicken pox and the few that did survive lived secluded. The difference of colonizations is that in colonizing Mars the people left to go back to Earth because of a war, and those who colonized America did not leave America because of a war but moved there to get away from wars going on in their own countries.
