The Martian Chronicles

The Martian Chronicles by Bradbury is about humans traveling to mars to colonize, it is very similar to the European coming to north america to colonize new lands. In the book, the martians gain a sickness from the new settlers just as the natives of North America received from the European settlers. the native in North America had their own culture but the the settlers brought their own and tried to spread them to the natives as did the humans to the martians. They tried to resist the new culture but they were just to powerful and eventually they had to give in and go with what was given. Much of what happened in the book can be related to what has happened in american history.
